Before you compare fees, compare outcomes. The right brief saves everyone time and gets you a far better session.
Start with the change you want to see. 'We want our managers to give feedback more often' is a brief; 'we want someone motivational' is not.
Tell your speaker who is in the room, what happened last year, and what the audience is worried about right now. The best sessions are built from that context.
Ask how the speaker will tailor the content, what they need from you, and how they will help you follow through afterwards. A good speaker will ask you more questions than you ask them.
